Special Event - Marc Susi Trophy Dedication 5.13.10 : On Thursday, May 13, 2010, after months of planning the waiting was finally over for Milton High School as its new trophy case dedicated to the memory of Marc A. Susi was unveiled. The dedication began with a welcome by Dr. John Drottar, remarks from Assistant Superintendent John Phelan, and the dedication by Booster President, Paul Durgin.  Superintendent Mary Gormley, School Committee Chair Lynda Lee Sheridan and many coaches and their captains were present to be part of this celebration. During the ceremony a very gracious Fran McKinnon, mother of Marc A. Susi, accepted a bouquet of flowers from Mike Muse, goalie for the Milton Wildcats hockey team. Mrs. McKinnon thanked all who were responsible for bringing such a wonderful tribute to her son Marc, who passed away in 1992 during his junior year at Milton High.Also present was Marc's  family, his hockey coach Gary Maus, the Wilkie Family and many of his teammates and friends.The trophy case goal became a reality earlier this year during the Comedy in a Comfort Zone event. The event co-chaired by Leslie Durgin and Debbie Higgins asked Milton’s Athletic Director, Steve Traister, for a wish list of what he would like the high school to have. At the top of the list was a trophy case. After a meeting with the school architect and Principal Dr. John Drottar the project to build the case was approved. Once the funds were secured from the MHS Boosters, and donations from The Marc A. Susi Foundation, and the MHS Alum the case was built by Joe Szum of S.O.T.A. Construction Company. With the help of Steve Traister, Debbie Higgins and a number of volunteers Milton High School trophies were found and lovingly reconditioned and placed in their new home. The trophy case is located just outside of the entrance into the Copeland Field House.
